ABC Orthopedics offers tailor-made solutions regardless of damage to muscles, bones or joints.
We at ABC Orthopedics are focused on the assessment of orthopedic injuries such as fractures and general orthopedic ailments with pain in the musculoskeletal system.
To visit us, you need a referral from e.g. an emergency department, emergency room or a health center.
A follow-up examination for a fracture is usually conducted between 1–10 days after the injury. If your child requires an X-ray before the visit, it will be done either the day before or on the same day as the appointment.
X-rays are performed on a drop-in basis at a radiology clinic. The referral is sent electronically to the designated clinic, and you must bring a valid ID for the X-ray.
During the visit to our clinic, you will meet with a doctor who will examine and assess the injury. Based on the evaluation, the doctor will determine whether the injury can be treated on-site or if a referral for further treatment is needed.
Uncomplicated pediatric fractures are treated conservatively with a cast. Our experienced cast technicians assist the orthopedic specialist with casting, recasting, and cast removal.
At the time of cast removal, you will receive information about activity restrictions and how to regain strength and mobility after the injury. You will also be informed about when your child can resume sports and other activities.
If you need to undergo a new X-ray examination, it should preferably be done on the same day or the day before your visit with us.
The X-ray is performed on a drop-in basis at a radiology clinic that we agree upon when booking your appointment. The referral is sent electronically to the designated clinic, and you must bring a valid ID for the X-ray.
During your visit, you will meet a doctor who will assess your injury. Based on this assessment, a decision will be made on whether the injury should be treated on-site or if a referral for further treatment is needed.
ABC Orthopedics does not handle cash or Swish. Please bring a bank card.
If you need a follow-up visit or other specialist expertise after your appointment, this will be decided together during the visit.
If your insurance company requires a certificate for the assessment of your injury, you can book an appointment for this after the treatment is completed.
