If your child requires an X-ray before the visit, it will be done either the day before or on the same day as the appointment.<\/p><p>X-rays are performed on a drop-in basis at a radiology clinic. Based on the evaluation, the doctor will determine whether the injury can be treated on-site or if a referral for further treatment is needed.<\/p><p>Uncomplicated pediatric fractures are treated conservatively with a cast.
